Destructive Relationships

We watched yet another couple of odd movies.
Dead Ringers (1988) and Heavenly Creatures (1994).
They are both about destructive close relationships.
And what is even more scary is that they are both true stories.

Dead Ringers is about very intelligent twin brothers who share
their genetical medical practice and research as well as women.
The real life twins were Stewart and Cyril Marcus.
Their story is told in the 1977 novel titled "Twins".

Heavenly Creatures is about the friendship of two teenage girls.
They are kindred spirits with a very imaginative fantasy life.
The movie and its dialog is from the diary of Pauline Parker.
Pauline Parker eventually devoted life to handicapped children.
Her friend Juliet Hume now writes under the name Anne Perry.
