Pineapple Coffee Cake

Combine for cake:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
8 oz can (8 ounces) pineapple, crushed, undrained
4 egg whites
1/4 cup natural applesauce

Combine for topping :
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Pour cake mixture in 8x8 pan.
Then pour topping mixture over it.
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Modifications:
I replaced the white flour and wheat germ all with whole wheat flour
I replaced the 4 egg whites with 2 eggs (recipe was considered "light")
After reading reviews saying too dry, used 20 oz can of pineapples
