Will be looking at coffeemakers from these entities.

currently 19.99 at Target
has "auto pause and serve" function
with dual water windows and a nonstick hot plate
separate carafe and (filter) basket

Proctor Silex 12-Cup Coffeemaker - 48571
currently 24.99 at Target (review not positive)
has auto shut-off and brew-strength selector
and includes permanent filter (yet basket separate?)

Will be looking for other reviews from other sites
as well as looking for other possible models by them.

Coffeemaker

We are looking to replace my 2-12 cup coffeemaker.
Mine is currently a Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex.
It has a filter holder I remove and clean after each use.
I like putting in the new filter for each fresh cup.
I admit to not understanding the "permanent" filters.
In addition to Hamilton Beach will look at Mr. Coffee.
I have gotten in the habit of starting my day with coffee
or when company has some. Randy still does not drink coffee.
