Marshmallow Treats

I remember Rice Krispie Treats growing up.
I remember at Christmas time using food dye.
Shaped them like wreaths and added red cinnamon for berries.

More recently I had a recipe for peanut butter
chocolate squares which used Kix cereal.
Then my husband brought home Reese's Puffs cereal.

So I googled to find a microwave easy recipe.
I found Cheerios Marshmallow Bars.
Can not go wrong with just 3 ingredients!

In microwave bowl:
3 T butter
1 bag (10 1/2 oz) miniature marshmallows (6 cups)
Bake for 2 mintues stirring after each minute.
Quickly stir in 5 cups Cheerios cereal
Press firmly into 13x9-inch pan.
Let cool.

My notes:
Stirring after a minute is messy.
I ended up letting it bake 3 minutes.
Mixture did not seem to cover whole pan.
Next time plan to just put in 9 by 9 pan.
