Combine:
1 1/2 flour
1 T baking powder
1/4 t salt
3/4 c oats
2/3 c brown sugar
3/4 t cinnamon
Separately combine:
3/4 c skim milk
1/3 c unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 t oil
3 egg whites
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
Bake at 400 for 18-20 minutes. Makes a dozen.
Variation:
I used 3 packets of apple cinammon oatmeal
And I only used 1 whole egg
I believe I found the recipe in a newspaper
shortly after my mother told me she had diabetes.
