Cream Cheese Cookie Bar

Combine for crumb mixture:
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. walnuts

Combine for filling mixture:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Of the crumb mixture set aside 1 cup for topping.
With what is left press into the bottom of the 8x8 pan.
Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.

Pour filling mixture on top of baked bottom layer.
Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over the top.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Store in refrigerator.

Variation:
I do not do walnuts so crumb mixture was not enough
so I ended up using whole crumb mixture for bottom.
Made up a second halved crumb mixture for top.

In future may consider adding to filling ...
fruit like cherries or good old chocolate chips.
