Banana Custard Pie

Mix together and set aside:
1 c mashed ripe bananas (2 medium)
2 t lemon juice

Stir together the following:
1/2 c Bisquick® mix
1/4 c sugar
1 T butter or margarine, softened
1/2 t vanilla
2 eggs
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Finally add the two mixtures together ...
pour into pie/souffle plate.

Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
Cool completely for about an hour.
Cover and refrigerate for another two hours.

Suggested top layer when ready to serve:
3/4 cup frozen (thawed) whipped topping
sprinlked with 1/4 c coarsely chopped walnuts
and Caramel topping, warmed, if desired

Variation: we simply did not add top layer(s).
I also simply just poured mix in casserole dish.
